EeBria are completely upfront with you as soon as you walk through the door, presenting you with a mission statement on a blackboard which has been there at least as long as this website. "We don't brew beer. We don't have the skill, patience, passion or knowledge." What they do have, though, is large quantities of other people's beer, which they primarily aim to sell to you via mail order.
Then as now, though, if you go to their premises on the Mile, you can also pick up some bottles and cans over the counter, or try out one of the six guest beers they have on tap that day, with everything available in measures of 1/3, 2/3 and a pint. Sometimes those taps get used for very interesting themed takeovers - on our December 2018 visit, we relived our holiday from earlier that year by guzzling two of a selection of Estonian beers, Sori's Dark Humor Club imperial stout and Pohjala's Must Kuld porter. You’ll always see something on tap here that you won’t encounter anywhere else – on our January 2022 visit, it was a NEIPA by Heist Brew Co with the magnificent name I Once Stage Rushed A Sooty And Sweep Show.
For a bar that's been set up as an afterthought for an online business, they've made a very good job of it, with lots of fun seating improvised from crates, a beer garden for nice days (particularly welcome during the 2022 heatwave), and a mini shuffleboard for less nice days that require you to stay indoors. They're not exclusively cashless, but they seem to prefer cards.
